The inspiration for this Internet site name came from a poem I read many years ago by the late English dramatist and poet laureate Ted Hughes titled The Door. The first line “Out under the sun stands a body.” gave a first impression that he was referring to our planet Earth which indeed will be out under the sun for another 5 billion years yet giving us sufficient time to capture its beauty in camera. Choosing to showcase Yorkshire, well that’s  because I’m a Yorkshire man and choosing to capture in camera the English Lake District wasn’t too difficult, to my eyes it has a unique quality of landscape and nature, such a spectacular place to wander and extremely  pleasing to the eye too
