What started out as a cloudy morning the weather gradually improved and by midday it was brightening up by the minute eventually becoming a gloriously sunny day on the central fells for our small group of walkers on the day - Chris, Terry, Jo with Megan & Roger with Bethan & Harry

The day wasn’t without incident in particular the one which saw one of my camera’s take an unscheduled flight over the side of Tarn Crag our last summit of the day and not to be found during the ensuing search

Several video clips accompanying this account are quite large files and at times it will seem like an age to download them but be assured it will only take a few minutes to start them running

Brown eyed Megan - Worth waiting for the right moment wasn’t it - Wonder what she’s thinking behind those eyes?

This is one of the special pictures I remember taking that urged me on to find the lost memory card

Chris on Tarn Crag summit - This picture, image number CRW 9479 is the last one taken with my Canon 10D SLR just minutes before tumbling down a grassy slope and falling into oblivion over the vertical crag edge - As this picture shows the Compact Flash memory card was retrieved intact after it had spent a week out on the open fell partially inside the to be expected wrecked camera
